Handcrafted Knitwear Rooted in Andean Heritage
Colqe began with a family story.
Raised in the Peruvian Andes, knitting and textile making have long been part of our family’s everyday life. These skills, memories, and ways of creating were passed down through generations, shaping not only what we make, but how we understand craftsmanship today.
At the heart of this legacy is Alejandrina Colque, Licetty´s grandmother, who dedicated her life to preserving and sharing Andean textile knowledge, founding an artisan collective in Puno and teaching future generations the value of handmade work.
Today, that heritage continues through Colqe. Some pieces are handcrafted by us in Europe, while others are created alongside family artisans in Peru. Each garment reflects a living tradition — one that continues to evolve while remaining deeply connected to its roots.
Rather than preserving the past unchanged, Colqe explores how inherited textile knowledge can find new expression through contemporary knitwear, natural fibers, and thoughtful design.
